“These are great cars! I call it my cheaper AMG – 425 hp/385 torque but so much more reliable than AMG and no suspension issues like ABC. I found a tuner in Korea, swapped out the ECU and now have 455/400 in my 19 5.0 – last year for the V8 in the G80. I would say good maintenance, bid with confidence. GL
I get 24.2mpg at 90mph on level pavement in SD and MT, and the Lexicon stereo system can stand with the best Bose and Harmon Kardon!!”

“Fwiw, the red key was introduced with the 999. It was for security purposes and allowed you to pair new black keys to the dash/ECU, as the model was the first to come with a factory immobiliser.
The 996 on the other hand, was still from the simple, analog, old school era. No red key. No digital dash. The only code that came with the bike originally was the mechanical code to get new keys cut, but how often do you lose all the keys to the bike to even need it?
Clutch plates likely fused…”
